Eduardo started like the vast majority of Optimist class sailors at age 11. From the same year he began to represent Ecuador and came to win medals at the regional and world level. He has sailed various classes such as the Laser, Snipe, 420, Lightning and Keelboats. He is currently the tactician on an ocean class team. Among his main achievements he has a South American podium and won a youth lightning world championship.
