Irene is better known as "Bebe" for being the youngest of the group. However, at a young age, she has achieved many national and international achievements. Being multiple times national champion and at the time South American champion of the lightning class. She has managed to receive the award for the best female sailing athlete from the Ecuadorian Olympic Committee on more than 4 consecutive occasions.
